Dr. Seth Kaplan is a Professor of Psychology in the Industrial-Organizational Psychology program. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology from Tulane University in 2006.

Dr. Kaplan’s research examines employee well-being, occupational health and safety, organizational change and development, and team effectiveness. A unifying theme across his work is the extension of evidence-based psychological principles and practices to workplace settings. His expertise also includes measurement, program evaluation, and advanced statistical methods.

Dr. Kaplan’s research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the Army Research Institute, the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). He has authored more than 75 publications and has consulted with private business and governmental agencies. 

Dr. Kaplan is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). He also serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Business and Psychology and on multiple other editorial boards.
