Emma Whitmyre, Ph.D., is an integrated pediatric primary care psychologist at Children's National Hospital. She completed her fellowship  through Children’s National Hospital in primary care, and completed her predoctoral internship at Seattle Children’s Hospital (Child Track) through the University of Washington, School of Medicine. She spent two years as a research associate at the NYU Child Study IDEAS Center and has trained in hematology/oncology at Children’s National as well. She has developed, led, and evaluated the implementation process of evidence-based practice for suicide prevention, safety planning, in the context of a cloud-based measurement-feedback system that facilitates measurement-based care in clinical settings, and examined risk factors for suicide across numerous projects and publications. Dr. Whitmyre has content expertise in youth suicide, safety planning, and qualitative methods. Dr. Whitmyre continues to be committed to learning how to best implement evidence-based services, and improve access to care for families, in integrated healthcare environments.
