Caitlin Williams, Ph.D.

Dr. Caitlin Williams is the Associate Director of the University of Tennessee Psychological Training Clinic, a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Tennessee, and a Licensed Psychologist (Tennessee and PSYPACT). She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Mason University in 2020 after completing her internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Her first postdoctoral fellowship was at Cherokee Health Systems in Knoxville, TN, and her second fellowship was at the Center of Excellence for Children in State’s Custody through the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Williams has experience delivering individual, family, and group therapies for a range of presenting concerns across a variety of settings, primarily focused on children, adolescents, and young adults. She focuses on trauma-focused/informed interventions, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, in which she is a Within-Agency Trainer. Her assessment experience includes child and adult assessment for psychoeducational, psychodiagnostic, and trauma-focused assessments. Dr. Williams teaches and supervises graduate students in clinical and counseling psychology doctoral programs at UTK, as well as disseminates PCIT and Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement (CARE) to graduate students, clinicians and relevant stakeholders within the East Tennessee community.
